How to delete one ChatGPT chat
- Open ChatGPT and find the chat in your history list.
- On desktop, hover over the chat and click the three dots. On mobile, press and hold the chat.
- Choose Delete and confirm.
If you only want to hide a chat, choose Archive instead. Archived chats move out of your main list but stay saved, and you can bring them back later.
