Mirror Text Generator
Text reversed so it reads correctly in a mirror. Also flipped and upside down.

What mirroring can and cannot do
Holding text up to a mirror does two things at once: it reverses the order of the characters, and it flips the shape of each letter. Reversing the order is straightforward and is what this tool does. Flipping the shapes is not generally possible, because Unicode contains no mirrored twin for most Latin letters, so a true mirror image of arbitrary text cannot be produced as text at all.
The result is therefore mirror order rather than a mirror image. Held up to a real mirror it reads left to right correctly, while the individual letters read as themselves rather than as their reflections. For genuinely reflected letterforms you need an image editor, not characters.
The three variants
Mirrored reverses each line, keeping the lines themselves in order, so a multi-line block stays sensibly laid out. Upside down substitutes rotated look-alike characters and reverses the order, which is the closest text gets to a genuine 180 degree turn. Mirrored and flipped combines the two, which is what you want for text that will be read in a mirror while the page itself is turned around.
How it works, and the one catch
These styles are not fonts. Each one is a separate block of real Unicode characters, so the styled letters travel with the text itself rather than depending on formatting the destination has to support. That is why a copied result keeps its look in a profile, a message or a post that offers no formatting controls at all.
The catch is worth knowing before you use it anywhere important. A screen reader announces the underlying code points rather than the letters you meant, so bold written in styled characters can be read out as a string of symbol names or skipped entirely. Search engines index them poorly for the same reason. Use these for a display name, a bio flourish or a post that wants to stand out, and keep ordinary letters for anything a person needs to read straight through or a search engine needs to understand.
Support varies by device. Almost everything renders on current desktop and mobile systems, but older phones and some apps substitute a box for a character they do not carry. The styles nearest the top of the list are the most widely supported, so when a result matters, prefer those and check it once on the platform you are posting to.
Questions
Does this produce a true mirror image of my text?
It reverses the character order, which is the half that can be done with characters. Unicode has no reflected twin for most Latin letters, so the individual letter shapes are not flipped. For genuinely reflected letterforms you need an image editor.
What is the difference between mirrored and upside down?
Mirrored reverses the order of the characters. Upside down also substitutes rotated look-alike characters, so it is the closer approximation to turning the text through 180 degrees.
Does it keep my line breaks?
Yes. Each line is reversed on its own and the lines stay in their original order, so a multi-line block remains sensibly laid out rather than being turned inside out.
Will mirrored text paste correctly everywhere?
Mirrored text uses ordinary characters in a different order, so it pastes anywhere without support problems. The upside down variants use substitute characters, which are widely but not universally supported.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. Everything runs inside your browser and this tool has no backend, so nothing you type is transmitted, logged or stored.
